American Psychological Association reports stress survey results

Published by mcdondees under Science Edit This

Key stress Indicators

In a poll surveying 2,160 adults conducted by Harris Interactive®
between April 8 and 10, 2009, 75 percent of adults reported that the
economy caused stress in their lives, down from 82 percent last
November. Similarly, fewer Americans reported stress associated with
work (from 69 percent to 67 percent) and money (from 82 percent to 78
percent). However, the consistently high rates associated with
Americans reporting stress attributed to financial concerns suggest
that many Americans are still suffering significantly from economic
stress.

The poll also reported the following factors which also contribute to stress among Americans:

  • Unwavering belief that black president is scheming to enslave all white Americans (up 25% since last year);
  • In a related item, over 100% more people believe President Barack Obama is biding time until making Christianity illegal and imposing Islam as new religious standard ;
  • Unshakable belief that the Cold War is not over and that we must battle on against the slow rise of Communism (up 75% since last year);
  • And finally, less Americans believe that there is any link between demand for foreign oil and the war against terrorism (down to less than 5%).

Analysts from the American Psychological Association (APA) recommend immersing farther into our cocoons. Specific recommendations include buying a larger television, purchasing a vacation to any one of the wonderful Disney amusement parks, and stocking up on Prozac or Zoloft.

Scientists discover mysterious link

Published by mcdondees under Science Edit This

Scientists link humans to frogs

(San Juan) While exploring a remote section of the El Yunque National Forest, scientists have discovered a new species of frogs, very closely related to humans. These so called frogmen, were found swimming in a pool in a rarely visited section of the Juan Diego Creek, which is located within the national forest.

This image shows the homo coqui, as the new species has been classified, swimming in it’s natural habitat. In this rare photograph we can see the surprising similarity to both humans and frogs. Sceintists believe that this new discovery presents new problems to evolutionists and biologists alike. Many experts in those fields are at a loss to explain this new species and how they fit into previous evolution theories.
